Welcome back to our favourite tipster for another weekend's worth of wage-burners:
14-15 Dec
Our tipster is back with his weekly take on the weekend's big game's across town:
Tottenham v Liverpool
The Merseysiders are poor travellers and are without a win in 5 away
from Anfield. With Spurs having recovered from their mini-blip with 3 straight
wins in all competitions the home advantage should prove enough to see them
through, despite the recent heroics of Luis Suarez. Back the home win at 5/4.
Manchester City v Arsenal
Despite looking like a new Arsenal
this season this one should prove a stretch too far. City have a 100% home
record this term and have looked absolutely lethal in recent weeks. They come
in off the back of a morale-boosting win in Munich in midweek and have had an
extra day to prepare after their opponents’ disappointing reverse in Naples.
The Gunners have already lost one big test in Manchester and this one is even
more difficult. Manchester City at 3/4
looks fair.
Chelsea v Crystal Palace
Contrary to popular belief, Chelsea
have not struggled for goals of late and the problems very much lie at the
other end of the pitch. Anything other than a big home win here would be a
major surprise despite Palace's recent revival under Tony 'Crystal' Pulis. With
that in mind, I will be looking at the handicap market and like Chelsea -2 at 11/8.
Everton v Fulham
Again I'm expecting a big home win with the Toffees still unbeaten at
Goodison Park under Roberto Martinez and Fulham
having suffered 5 defeats in their last 6. Romelu Lukaku has proved his worth
this season and I like odds of 4/6 for
Lukaku to score and Everton to win.
West Ham v Sunderland
This is a relegation six-pointer between 2 sides woefully out of form.
It will be tense and will probably end in a low-scoring draw. However, I prefer
to back over 45 booking points at 11/8.
Watford v Sheffield Wednesday
Watford have hit a very concerning run of form and the pressure is on
Gianfranco Zola to get them out of it. They did however pick up a decent point
at Leeds last time out and I reckon it could be the same outcome here against
managerless Wednesday. Odds of 11/4
are decent.
Blackburn v Millwall
Rovers have a pretty formidable home record whereas the Lions are weak
on the road. The form book says a home
win at 5/6.
Blackpool v QPR
After a surprisingly impressive start to the season Blackpool's
inevitable decline is in full swing. Despite Rangers' desperate away record I
think they will record their first victory on the road in 6 and Charlie Austin
will be a big part of any win. Austin to
score and QPR to win is 6/4.
Charlton v Derby
Steve McLaren has very much found the winning formula at Derby and they
travel to a Charlton side with just
one win in 6. Odds of 11/10 for the away
win are too good to turn down.
Brentford v Oldham
With Uwe Rosler leaving I don't foresee a successful outcome for his
replacement Mark Warburton in his first game in charge. Oldham have won their
last 2 away trips and I like odds of 4/1
for the Latics to pick up all three points at Griffin Park.
Bradford v Leyton Orient
The Bantams have drawn 4 of their last 5 and Orient have shared the
points in their last 2. Back the draw at
12/5.
Oxford v Dagenham
The home side have not lost in 5 whereas their visitors have not won in
4. Back an Oxford win at Evens.
Wimbledon v Mansfield
Mansfield's form is horrible having lost their last 6 after a good start
to the season. I see that run continuing against a Dons side who have blown hot
and cold so far this season. Back the home
win at 11/10.

30 Nov-1 Dec
Today, our tipster again tells all in an exclusive insight into that very special mind of his:
Tottenham v
Manchester United
A massive
game for AVB, this, as the pressure mounts on him after the embarrassing defeat at the
Etihad Stadium last week. City's neighbours are in town on Sunday and David
Moyes' men are actually top of the form table at the moment. United are without
a loss in the last 6 with Spurs not having won in 4. I am not convinced
we're going to see an away win here but I do like odds of 4/5 for the Reds in
the Draw No Bet market. There are always goals in this one and I like Both
Teams To Score at 4/6. For a longer shot look at odds of 9/2 for over 4.5
goals.
Chelsea v
Southampton
The Saints
were undone by a goalkeeping gaffe at the Emirates last week but were actually
relatively comfortable up to that point. That makes it more difficult to decide
how they will get on in west London this week against a Chelsea side that have,
uncharacteristically, been more unpredictable than Arsenal this season. Having
said that, I can see a similar outcome and I like odds of 6/1 for the same
scoreline of 2-0. Jon Obi Mikel seems to have found his way back into the
Blues' midfield of late which can only mean one thing - get on odds of 3/1 for
him to pick up a yellow card.
Cardiff v
Arsenal
The Bluebirds
have already seen off Manchester City at their home ground this season and held
Manchester United there last week so will go into this one full of confidence.
The Gunners have been more resolute this season and, while I don't see them
succumbing to defeat here, I fancy Cardiff to bag themselves a point at 3/1.
Fraizer Campbell was excellent against his former club in the last game and I
expect him to take that form into this one with the first goal at 8/1.
Norwich v
Crystal Palace
This is
almost guaranteed to be a low scoring affair with both sides lacking firepower
and terrified of tasting defeat. Odds of 4/5 for under 2.5 goals are good while
I also think 3/1 for the Eagles to emerge victorious are big considering their
win at Hull last week and the fact it is Tony Pulis' first game in the dugout.
A loss would push Chris Hughton closer to the exit door and odds of 7/1 for him
to be the next manager to leave his post might be worth backing.
West Ham v
Fulham
Sorry to
sound so cynical but I see this being another drab affair with odds of 10/1 for
a goalless draw tempting me. However, the Hammers haven't looked like scoring
since around 1997 and with the likes of Bent and Berbatov in their ranks you
just never know with Fulham. Therefore, odds of 6/1 for the west Londoners to
win to nil might be worth a small stake.
Charlton v
Ipswich
With the Addicks having drawn 3 of their last 5 home games and Ipswich taking a point in 4 of
their last 6 on the road, I can only recommend the spoils being shared here at
23/10. David McGoldrick has been in good form recently so have a small stake on
him as first goalscorer at 6/1.
Doncaster v
QPR
Rovers are
currently bottom of the Championship form table but Rangers are somewhat
surprisingly without a win in their last 4 away from their Loftus Road home.
Therefore, I cannot in good faith recommend odds of 8/13 for QPR to take all 3
points here but instead will say to have a very tentative punt on Doncaster or
Draw at 5/4. Federico Macheda is back at the Keepmoat for a second loan spell
following the injury that cut short his first, very successful stint.
Donny's form has dramatically suffered since he left and I like odds of 7/1
for Macheda to Score and Doncaster to Win.
Leicester v
Millwall
The Lions' away form has been poor all season, whereas Leicester have been very consistent
at the Walkers Stadium all year, despite the loss last time out. Therefore odds
of 1/2 for the home win are fair and your best bet is probably having it as
part of an accumulator. Dave Nugent has been vital to the Foxes this campaign
and after his 2 goals last week I prefer odds of 5/4 for Nugent to Score and
Leicester to Win.
Watford v Yeovil
The Hornets' form has suddenly dropped of late and they haven't won in 6, while losing
their last 3 on the spin at home. They couldn't have picked a better game to
get them out of their slump, though, than Yeovil at home, who are frankly the worst team
in the division by some distance and can't buy a win away. Although I
fancy the Hornets to have too much quality, odds of 1/2 for a home win are far
too short. Instead look at the Half Time/Full Time market and odds of 100/30
for Draw/Watford as Gianfranco Zola's men will be looking to get over understandable
nerves given their current form.
Leyton Orient
v Sheffield United
United's form
has slightly picked up since Nigel Clough's introduction and they obviously
have vast quality in their squad, even if their league position doesn't provide
any evidence of this. However, every time it looks as though the wheels might
come off Orient's promotion charge they respond with a win. I can see this one
turning out as a draw at 13/5 that neither side will be too unhappy with.
Notts County
v Brentford
An away win
for Brentford at 5/6 is my bet of the week. The Bees have won 5 of their last 6, with County having taken maximum points just once in their last 5, the other 4
all being losses. A new manager doesn't seem to have changed their fortunes and
Uwe Rosler's charges should be able to keep up the pressure on the division's
top two.
Dagenham v
Wycombe
Again, this
should be a successful day for the London side and I will go big on a home win
at 23/20. The Daggers' home record is excellent and they have won 4 of their
last 5 at Victoria Road. Wycombe on the other hand are without a win in 6 and
everything points towards a Dagenham victory.
Bristol
Rovers v AFC Wimbledon
Odds of 15/8
are too big for an away win here and I will be having a small stake on this.
Rovers are without a win in 6 on their home patch while the Dons are unbeaten
in 4. The match also pits the lowest home scorers in the division against one
of the lowest away scorers so look at a low-scoring affair with under 2.5 goals
priced at 8/11.

Make yourself some extra Christmas present money by following our guest tipster's advice:
Man City v Tottenham
AVBs men are really struggling for goals despite the obvious attacking talent they have at their disposal. That means they'll want to face an opponent who lack firepow… oh. City are ruthless in front of their own supporters even if they haven't been at their best away from the Etihad and will surely have no problem outscoring Spurs, particularly with Sergio Aguero in scintillating form. My recommendations are Aguero to score and City to win at 11/8 and City to win to nil at 15/8.
Arsenal v Southampton
The Saints are unbeaten in their last 5 and with Arsenal having tasted defeat last time out it will be interesting to see how they bounce back. Odds of 9/2 for the Southampton win seem incredibly long and although I wouldn't put my life savings on it I will be having a minor stake. For shorter odds backers get all over both teams to score at 5/6.
Fulham v Swansea
Both sides have had underwhelming campaigns up to now and I can't see that turning round here. I fancy a disappointing draw (23/10) which will do neither side any favours. Neither are particularly ruthless in front of goal so look towards under 2.5 goals at 8/11.
Hull v Crystal Palace
Hull are unbeaten in their last 5 at home whereas the Eagles are without a win on the road all season. Go big on a home win at 4/5.
West Ham v Chelsea
The Blues' away form has been poor but the Hammers have been absolutely dire at Upton Park. I don't fancy Chelsea to win by many but I do think they'll win to nil at 15/8. London derbies tend to be feisty affairs and something tells me there will be a penalty awarded at some point - 5/2.
Millwall v Barnsley
Millwall are bottom of the form table but are unbeaten in 4 at home. The visitors on the other hand have a dreadful away record with just one point on the road all season. For this reason I feel evens about the home win is generous although I might play it safe and go Millwall draw no bet at 1/2.
QPR v Charlton
QPR at home are about as close to a sure thing as you are likely to get in the Championship. However, Chris Powell's boys have won their last 2 away games and will be aware that anything can happen in London derbies. Have a very small stake on a Charlton win at 5/1 and cover that by backing under 2.5 goals at 8/11.
Watford v Bolton
I am really surprised by the Trotters being marked up as high as 3/1 in this one; Dougie Freedman's men are unbeaten in 7 whereas the Hornets are without a win in 5. I will be going big on the away win and even like 14/1 for Bolton to win both halves.
Wolves v Brentford
Wolves are technically the best team in the division but the Bees are the form side which makes this a tough one to call. It will be about small margins and I like under 1.5 goals in the first half at 4/9. The draw at 12/5 might also be worth a small stake.
Swindon v Leyton Orient
Both sides go into this in decent form but I feel Swindon's home advantage could just see them edge it. Odds of 11/8 are good but for a bit more of a long shot look at David Mooney and Kevin Lisbie both to score at 6/1.
Bury v Wimbledon
Odds of 11/5 for the away win here are big as the Dons' form has picked up with back to back victories. Bury have picked up maximum points just once in their last 10 outings so there's no real reason for the home side to be such clear favourites. I particularly like Wimbledon draw no bet at 6/5.
Plymouth v Dagenham
Plymouth have drawn 3 of their last 4 home games and that run could continue with another draw at 9/4. Zavon Hines has won me a few quid already this season and I'm going to stick with him by backing the former West Ham man to score at any time at 12/5.

9-10 Nov
Our guest odds-organiser has switched his tipple from Betfair to SkyBet for you this week as he conveys the best tips across the capital's fixtures:
Tottenham v Newcastle
Despite
an impressive defeat of Chelsea last
time out, Newcastle have failed to impress so far this campaign. Their three
points last week was more due to the Blues' profligacy than anything
particularly special from the home side and I don't expect Spurs to have too
much trouble here. However, AVB's men have struggled to break down defences,
particularly at home, where their opponents tend to sit a bit deeper. Therefore,
I will be putting a few pennies down on Half
Time/Full Time - Draw/Tottenham at 100/30. I also fancy Roberto Soldado to ease some of the
pressure on him by netting first at 7/2.
Manchester
United v Arsenal
Although
my gut tells me this will be the start of a United resurgence and an Arsenal demise, my head tells me that odds of 11/5 for an Arsenal win are far
too high considering the Gunners are top of the league, unbeaten on the road
and without a defeat at all since the first day of the season. Considering they
come into the game off the back of a very impressive away win in Dortmund, I
can only recommend an away win here. And for a bit of value why not get on 'Arsenal to win and Aaron Ramsey to score'
at 13/2.
Chelsea v WBA
I
could never in good faith recommend anything but a Jose Mourinho Chelsea side winning at Stamford Bridge
but odds of 2/7 don't get me too
excited. The Baggies have looked impressive in patches this season and may
cause the Blues a few more problems than anticipated - remember they have
already won at Old Trafford this term. With this in mind, I am going to play it
safe and recommend odds of 5/6 for both
teams to score. I'll also be having a small stake on Nicolas Anelka to break his scoring duck against his former
teammates at some point within the 90
minutes at 4/1.
Crystal Palace v Everton
It's
difficult to put money down on Palace beating anyone at the moment and in
Everton they face a side in impressive form. Although they tend to be better at
home than away, I fancy the Toffees to see off their hosts without any trouble
at all. I like the away side to win to
nil at 7/4 and will also be all over Evens
on an Everton win with Romelu Lukaku scoring. The big Belgian should have a
field day against a pretty shoddy Eagles back line.
Liverpool
v Fulham
I
can't see past a big Liverpool win here as Martin Jol's job becomes less and
less secure, and with good cause. He seems to be doing the absolute bare
minimum with a relatively talented group of players and an embarrassment on
Merseyside could push him closer to the exit door. I particularly like Liverpool (-2) at 6/4, Liverpool/Liverpool (HT/FT) at 4/6 and,
for slightly longer odds of 10/1, Luis
Suarez to score a hat trick.
Norwich
v West Ham
This
is a meeting of two sides in poor form and far closer to the bottom of the
table than they would like. Both teams have had trouble scoring this season and
defeat could lead to real trouble for either so I will be lumping fairly
considerably on a scoreline of 0-0 at
10/1.
Reading
v QPR
This
should be a really entertaining affair between two teams that will be there or
thereabouts in the promotion race. Reading's home form has been absolutely
superb while, away from Loftus Road, the Rs have struggled a bit of late.
However, you can never write QPR off
and I prefer to back both teams to score
at 8/11. Joey Barton loves to
make a show of himself in front of the TV cameras so look at odds of 21/10 for him to be carded.
Bolton
v Millwall
Bolton
are unbeaten in 6 while Millwall
have not won in their last 5. However there have been a fair few draws in
Bolton's run so instead of going all out on the home win have a stake on Bolton or draw at 2/9. The Lions are
not exactly prolific so look at Dougie
Freedman's men to win to nil at 21/10.
Charlton v Leeds
Tough
one to call as the Addicks have not won in 5 at home but their guests have lost
all of their last 4 away games. That leaves me with only one choice - the draw at 12/5.
Middlesbrough
v Watford
Boro's
home form is actually pretty good - they've won their last 2 and are unbeaten
in 6. Meanwhile, the Hornets are without a win in 4 home and away and are
struggling for a bit of form. The home
win is priced at 6/4 and I like those odds. Watford fans; you may be out of luck today but cheer yourselves up
by backing Lewis McGugan to keep up
his good goalscoring form by netting at
any time at 11/4.

25-28 Oct
Welcome back to our favourite tipster for another weekend's worth of wage-burners:
Palace v Arsenal
This looks to be an away banker although odds of 1.37 do not get
me too excited, particularly with it being the Eagles' first game without Ian
Holloway. I fancy Arsenal's class to
shine through eventually in this one but have a sneaky feeling they may be
forced to come from behind in order to snatch all three points. Odds of 8.2 for this very occurrence certainly appeal.
Southampton v Fulham
The Cottagers may have hammered the final nail into Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace coffin on Monday night
but Mauricio Pochettino's new-look Southampton side are a totally different
proposition. Fulham may rest on
their laurels after easing the pressure with back-to-back wins, in which case
expect the Saints to take full advantage. Kasami and Sidwell can't score
'worldys' every week and Southampton's miserly defence looks good value to keep
a clean sheet at 2.34.
Burnley v QPR
Intriguing game, this, between the Championship's two form sides, which
will almost certainly be a dull affair with few goals and resulting in a draw.
The ones you expect the most from are always the most disappointing. So, to
cheer yourself up, get on odds of 10.5
for a goalless stalemate. Although,
if you'd like to be slightly less cynical, back Charlie Austin to score against
his old club as he has been in excellent form of late. And never rule out a
Danny Ings goal...
Reading v Millwall
Reading have been excellent at the Madejski this term and I fully expect
them to pick up another win here against a Lion side without a win in their
last three and with only one away scalp all season. Odds of 1.79 aint half bad and I will be making it a double with Adam Le Fondre as an anytime
goalscorer.
Brentford v Shrewsbury
The Bees seem to be back on track after a slight blip and I fancy them
to comfortably overcome a Shrewsbury side without an away win all term. Odds of 1.73 are not to be sniffed at so
I will be going big on Uwe Rösler's boys.
Leyton Orient v Rotherham
It's unsurprising that Orient's obscene unbeaten record came to an end
away to a Coventry side who have been prolific since moving to their temporary
home. The main focus will be on getting back to winning ways as soon as
possible and regaining that winning mentality but they will not find it easy
against the Millers who boast a pretty mean away record themselves. The East
Londoners should eventually find a way through but I like odds of 5.7 for Half
Time/Full Time - Draw/Leyton Orient.
Wimbledon v Oxford
The Dons are now without a win in their last five whereas Oxford are
unbeaten away from home all season and go into this game in good form. I like odds of 2.92 for the away win but may
prefer to look at the DRAW NO BET
market.
Dagenham v Rochdale
Two of the top sides in the division head into this one in pretty decent
nick. They will be tough to separate but I would not be at all surprised to see
plenty of goals flying in and will be looking at over 3.5 goals at 3.2.
Chelsea v Man City
City's comfortable defeat of West
Ham last time out is their only away win of the season and, with Chelsea boasting a 100% home record, odds of 2.38 about the home win seem
generous. Both sides are in good form so tread carefully and possibly look at
the DRAW NO BET market where you
will find the Londoners at 1.68.
Swansea v West Ham
Despite looking mightily impressive in Europe, Swansea's domestic form
is suffering, yet they are just about picking up enough points for this fact to
go largely unnoticed. Having said that, I do not much fancy the Hammers to take
anything back to the East End from Wales so will be banking on a low scoring
affair and under 1.5 goals at odds of 4.
Tottenham v Hull
I've been mightily impressed by Hull so far this season but with so many
key players out I foresee a bit of a drubbing at the hands of AVB's men. Allan
McGregor will be the biggest miss and Steve Harper could have a busy day in the
Tigers' goal. Back Tottenham to win to
nil at 1.92.
Charlton v Wigan
The Addicks surprised just about everyone with their win at Ewood Park
last week and will look to make it back-to-back victories against a Wigan side
that have lost their last four away league games and come into this fixture
having played an arduous ninety minutes on Thursday evening. Therefore, I will
be recommending jumping on the Charlton
bandwagon and getting all over odds of
2.88 for the home win. However, Nick
Powell is in good goalscoring form so don't be surprised to see the on-loan
Manchester United man finding the back of the net at some point.
Brighton v Watford
Brighton may not be enjoying their greatest run of form at the moment
but they are always difficult to beat at the Amex. Meanwhile, Watford's patchy away form makes this a
tough one to call but I can see both teams cancelling each other out and 3.4 for the draw is decent. Fernando Forestieri is always good for
a goal and I like odds of 6.8 for
the in-form forward to open the scoring.

Our betting meister drops by to give you the latest London match-day goers:
Palace
v Fulham
If Palace are going to avoid relegation, this is exactly the sort of the
game they have to be winning against a side that will need to buck their ideas
up if they are to enjoy another season in the top flight. For that reason, I
expect the Eagles to pick up all three points here at 2.76 as their only win so
far has come at Selhurst Park and Fulham have tasted defeat in their last 2
away games.
Villa v Tottenham
I can see an upset in this one as Villa are unbeaten in their last three, whereas Spurs have not won in the last couple of outings. Back Aston Villa
DRAW NO BET at 2.92. The dangerman Benteke could be back for the Villains and, if he is, get on prices of 7.8 for the Belgian to open the scoring.
Arsenal v Norwich
Should be a home banker, although Norwich did win their last away game and Arsenal have already lost at the Emirates this term to a side of similar
standing to the Canaries. The Gunners have also had more players away on
international duty than their guests so it may take them some time to get going. Back Half
Time/Full Time - Draw/Arsenal at 4.8.
Chelsea v Cardiff
Again, this should be a home banker and maybe look at backing the Blues
in an accumulator along with Arsenal as odds of 1.26 are very short. I don't
see Chelsea having any problems against a Cardiff side in turmoil so look at
Chelsea to win both halves at 2.46.
West Ham v Man City
The Hammers are usually formidable at Upton Park, although that has not
been the case this campaign with just one home win so far. However, City have
been pretty awful on their travels and are missing captain Vincent Kompany so I
fancy the East Londoners to nick something. Back West Ham DRAW NO BET at 4.
Blackburn v Charlton
Blackburn have not lost at home since their first game and Charlton are
stinking the place out, particularly away from the Valley. Therefore odds of
1.97 for the home win seem very generous.
Millwall v QPR
The only London derby of the day and a tough one to call. Harry
Redknapp's men look unbeatable at present although the Lions have won their
last two home games and look a lot more impressive than they did earlier in the
campaign. I still like the away win at EVENS but be cautious.
Watford v Derby
Usually, I would think odds of EVENS are way too high for the home win
here but always beware a side under new management. Derby are played 1, won 1
under Steve McLaren and I fancy them to get what would be a very good point at
Vicarage Road. This outcome is currently at 3.65.
Brentford v Colchester
The Bees cannot seem to buy a home win at the moment, although in
Colchester they are up against another woefully out of form side. I wouldn't
like to say which way this one is going but I reckon it will be a tetchy affair
resulting in quite a few cards. I'll be having a small stake on there being a
sending off at 5.5.
Tranmere v Orient
I definitely fancy the away win here at 1.96. Rovers are yet to win at
home, as opposed to Orient, who have not tasted defeat at all, be it home or away. Tread carefully, as Tranmere did pick up a very impressive away win at Bradford last
time out, so maybe don't go all out on the Londoners.
Morecambe v Wimbledon
This is my bet of the day, I'm afraid to say Dons fans. After their
encouraging start to the season Neal Ardley's men have hit the buffers somewhat
in recent weeks and are up against a Morecambe side unbeaten at home this term.
Odds of 2.32 are very generous for that record to stay intact and Morecambe to
pick up a win.
Northampton v Dag and Red
This is a difficult one to call as both sides have been inconsistent of
late. The Daggers are certainly better placed in the league standings and I'm
going to let that influence me here and tentatively suggest that they will come
away with a victory at 3.4.

Our guest feature this week sees the in-house Net Capital betting guru again giving us his take on the weekend's fixtures across the city:
Fulham v Stoke City
Fulham are yet to win at their west London
home this season having lost 2 of their 3 games there. However, Stoke's away
form is hardly brilliant with 1 win and 2 losses on their travels. Martin Jol
is under serious pressure if the papers are to be believed but it would take a
braver man than me to back his forlorn side. When Dimitar Berbatov is off-form,
so are the Lilywhites and the Bulgarian has been just awful of late. If
anything, I would look at the draw at
3.35 but prefer under 2.5 goals at
1.74.
Liverpool v Crystal Palace
The Reds may have lost their last home game against Southampton but
that is their only loss this season and they have won both other games at
Anfield. Plus, they now have Luis Suarez back to bolster their attack and
potentially form a deadly partnership with Daniel Sturridge. Back the Uruguayan to score first at 4.
Palace's defence has been pretty horrendous so far and the new SAS could run
riot here. The Eagles have not picked up a point away from Selhurst Park and I
like Liverpool to win both halves at
2.28.
Norwich City v Chelsea
Mourinho's men have surprisingly not picked up a win away from home
territory in three attempts and, whilst I see it being fourth time lucky at
Carrow Road, odds of 1.68 are far too short. For more tempting odds, look at Half Time/Full Time - Draw/Chelsea at 4.8
as the Happy One's changes should eventually break down a stubborn Norwich back
line.
Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United
With Tottenham having not lost at home and the Hammers not having won away
this should point towards all three points staying in North London. However,
the form book tends to go out of the window in London derbies and I've got a
feeling this could be a close game in an electric atmosphere at White Hart
Lane. I wouldn't be surprised to see a late Spurs goal deciding matters here
with the vast array of attacking talent they have on show so will be backing Half Time/Full Time - Draw/Tottenham at 4.5.
West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal
The Gunners may been in unbelievable form but the Baggies have also won
their last 2 including, of course, that morale-boosting win at Old Trafford
last time out. This is a really tough one to call but I can't see Arsenal
losing, even if they don't take all the points. Therefore, go for Arsenal - DRAW NO BET at 1.35 if you're
a short-odds backer or for a bit more of a long-shot back Morgan Amalfitano to carry on his good form with the first goal at odds
of 18.5.
Charlton Athletic v Blackpool
Everything suggests a draw at the Valley as Charlton are without a win
in 5 whilst their visitors have not won in 4. Blackpool’s is probably the more
talented line-up but the Addicks' home advantage should cancel that out. 3.5 offers decent value for a stalemate.
Bournemouth v Millwall
Millwall were brought crashing back down to
earth with their midweek defeat after 3 straight victories and, while
Bournemouth have not won in their last three, their home record is good under
Eddie Howe and I see them snatching this one. Odds of 2.34 for a home win seem high and I will be lumping a fair
bit on the Cherries.
Huddersfield Town v Watford
It will be difficult to separate these two, particularly with the
Terriers at home - they are yet to taste defeat at the John Smith's Stadium
this term. But we know that Watford are a good side and on their day Gianfranco
Zola's men can make anyone look silly. I won't be going anywhere near this one
but if you insist then the league's top scorer James Vaughan could well carry on his fantastic season with the first
goal.
Queens Park Rangers v Barnsley
This is a home banker if ever I have seen one in a match that pits
probably the best team in the league against its worst. I anticipate a big QPR
win and actually think odds of 1.44
are still quite high. However for more value look the Hoops to win to nil at 2.44 as Harry's boys have only conceded
twice so far back in the Championship.
Brentford v Rotherham United
Rotherham are unbeaten on their travels this campaign so odds of 3.85 are high as they travel to
Griffin Park, where Brentford are without a win in their last 2 attempts. For a
very small stake look at odds of 15 for
the away team to win both halves.
Oldham Athletic v Leyton Orient
It seems every man and his dog are expecting Orient's unbeaten run to
come to an end at any moment after their winning streak was abruptly halted
last time out. On the other hand, I expect them to keep it going for another
week at least as they go to Boundary Park, where Oldham have only won once this
season. Odds of 2.52 about the away win
are high and that's what I'll be getting on.
AFC Wimbledon v Northampton Town
The Dons have a 100% home record so far while the Cobblers are yet to
pick up a point away from Sixfields. With that in mind, God only knows why you
can still get odds of 1.99 for a home
win and you'd better believe I will be going big on the south Londoners.
